About Footprints Move Management
The idea for Footprints Move Manager came from my personal experience with my elderly grandmother, who required support to de-clutter, re-organise and update her property to enable her to continue to live there independently. Having lived in the area her entire life my grandmother was reluctant to relocate, she viewed her home as her sanctuary and the place she belonged. Living 150 miles away and juggling work and family commitments I experienced many challenges and frustrations during this time and felt there was a definite need for services in this area.
My professional experience working in Social Care also highlighted this need, observing the extra physical and emotional support older people often need when relocating and downsizing. This is often provided by family members but can be difficult to manage at times. This is why Footprints Move Manager was created. I believe by having a professional third party assisting with the process individuals and their families are given the opportunity to concentrate on what really matters to them during the move, enabling them to delegate tasks to the Senior Move Manager to ensure a smooth and stress free transition.
I have worked within the health and social care sector for over 15 years.
During this time I have gained experience in mental health, physical disabilities and older people settings. As a qualified Social Worker I have substantial experience of working with vulnerable individuals and supporting them through difficult times. I understand the difficulties and emotional turmoil that goes with moving, particularly moving in later life. I have an in-depth knowledge of the social care system and can advise and support clients to access services they may be entitled to from the Local Authority. I have direct experience of worked closely with older people and their families and supporting them with the moving process.
